Profile:	Mr. Malet has been the Chairman of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain (www.amchamspain.com) since July 2002. Since its founding in 1917, the Chamber has represented the interests of US multinationals in Spain as well as those of Spanish companies investing in the US. The Chamber is a member of the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. and of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce in Brussels. Under the leadership of Mr. Malet, the Chamber has become a relevant and visible institution in Spain that has brought to the foreground the equal importance of US direct investment (the US is the largest direct investor in Spain, the revenues of the 532 Spanish subsidiaries of US companies representing approximately 7.1% of the Spanish GDP) as well as of the opportunities for Spanish investment in the US.
