International Technology Forum (ITF) 2005 Shines A Global Spotlight On Emerging Internet Technologies

Industry Experts, Venture Capitalists and Leading International Executives Meet At Two-day Conference To Discuss Emerging Technologies and Diversity Leadership

Tuesday - 7/11/2005 6:00

Menlo Park, Calif., July 12, 2005 Teksia, the premier organization devoted to high- technology information exchange within international communities, has announced that the International Technology Forum (ITF) 2005: Emerging Technologies And Diversity Leadership, will be held on October 20-21, 2005 at the lavish Palo Alto Hills Golf & Country Club. The two-day conference will explore the international opportunities and trends with new XoIP technologies and applications, and feature a comprehensive workshop on Diversity Leadership on the second day. On the evening of October 21, ITF 2005 will also feature the Leadership Excellence Awards where ten industry leaders from various international communities will be recognized for their achievements during a gala dinner ceremony.

ITF is the leading information and networking event for international high-tech leaders. ITF has met annually since 2000 and serves to promote and connect diverse international community groups through the U.S. and abroad. The first day of the conference will have ten panels, and the second day, two panels with comprehensive workshops.

On the first day of the conference, emerging technology sessions will cover various aspects of XoIP (the set of protocols, standards and technology for transferring voice, video and data over the Internet) including security, Quality of Services (QoS), multi-channel video, sensor networks and wireless. Keynote speaker for the first day will be Charles H. Giancarlo, CTO & Senior VP, Cisco Systems, Inc, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. As with previous ITF conferences, a highlight of the event will be a panel discussion on the hot technologies and applications that are currently attracting investment from venture capital firms and other investment sources.

"The pace of globalization, outsourcing, off-shoring and international networking has never been faster," said Susan Akbarpour, CEO and Co-Founder of Teksia. "Successful companies and entrepreneurs are those that see beyond borders and understand the global dynamics of finance, technology, manufacturing and marketing. The technology sessions and Diversity Leadership workshop at ITF 2005 are designed for this new generation of leader who see the entire world as their market, who work from a plane or hotel room as often as the office, and who see technology, investment and bright ideas as likely to originate from Dubai, Mumbai, and Seoul, as from New York and Silicon Valley."

The second day of ITF will be devoted to a Diversity Leadership workshop led by Professor John Dienhard, Director of Albers School of Graduate Business and Economics and Associate Professor Madhu Rao, Seattle University and Dr. Mansour Javidan, Director of International Management the Galvin Center at Thunderbird University. The workshop will provide the practical tools, perspectives and philosophies necessary to lead diverse teams and successful international enterprises in today's global economy.
ITF Community Sponsors include TiE, Asia American Multitechnology Association (AAMA), The Japan Society of Northern California, SiliconIran, The Vietnamese Silicon Valley Network, Korea IT Network (KIN), and SiliconFrench. Corporate sponsorships for ITF 2005 are available.
