Companies’ Profiles

6 minutes of fame!

Companies selected to present at ITF 2009 Venture Forum will be public and privately-held companies from the specified sectors. Companies encouraged to apply include early-stage, late-stage, pre-IPO or public companies. The typical company will be in the A or B round of funding.

Presenting companies will be selected by a committee composed of qualified venture capitalists and entrepreneurs and prominent executives serving on the conference's Advisory Board. The criteria by which each application will be evaluated and scored include; market opportunity, partnerships, business platform, competitive advantages, intellectual property, exit strategy and the quality and experience of senior management. Each of these criteria should be disclosed in the application, which represents the corporate profile of the company. It is important to be as thorough and complete as possible when filling out the application. Presenting at ITF 2009 will open doors where participants will discover solutions to different transaction types such as mergers, acquisitions, disposals, spin-offs, de-mergers, joint ventures, privatizations, leveraged buyouts and many other situations as well as finding capital resources.

Selected companies are expected to participate in M&A workshops by Stanford faculty in the afternoon. This is an intensive, 2-hour training session. There is no cost to presenters to attend the workshop. Presenting companies’ other employees will receive a 20% registration discount code.

The structure of the ITF 2009 promotes numerous networking opportunities for participating companies. There will be organized breakfasts, luncheons and cocktail events to maximize visibility and interaction. All of these activities are included in the registration fee along with reserved space for presenting companies to meet with company delegates and VCs following presentations in the afternoon session.

General Session Presentations:

Morning sessions will address the General Session Presentations starting with the keynote and opening remarks; on both days and during the 3-hour General Session, each company will present a 6-minute presentation to the audience in Biotech and Cleantech industries. Industry veterans’ panel discussions will be presented during the morning presentations. One-on-one Meetings will be presented in the afternoon.

One-on-one Meetings:

  • On both days and following lunch there will be a keynote address, with each presenting company moving to their own private or semi private meeting space (optional) where they will hold meetings with prospects.
  • Stanford faculty will present M&A Workshops; participation of prominent Silicon Valley veterans will take place simultaneously during the afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • Workshops are open to general admission registrants.
