Technology Forum 'ITF 2005' & Excellence
Award
ITF 2005 focuses on the Internet Protocol as
it is becoming the common networking protocol
for converged and emerging applications (data,
voice, video, messaging and additional applications)
with its inherent ability to separate network
and service layers. As these applications and
services evolve, enhancements in the networking
layer and in the service development tools are
important to support these applications. Multi-Protocol
Label Switching is an example of a protocol
extension required to support multi-network
options over an IP network. System Information
Protocol is a recent, ongoing example within
the VoIP application.
